Learn how the Federal Way School District has courageously confronted the challenges of ensuring equity and excellence for all students. Participants will learn about three policies that work together to ensure board/superintendent effectiveness while closing the opportunity and achievement gaps, and ensuring every child receives a world class education.

Learner Outcomes:

1. Identify specific strategies to design, implement and monitor meaningful education reform. 2. Design policies that will impact and improve student learning while closing the opportunity and achievement gaps. 3. Recognize practical steps for engaging students, parents, teachers and administrators in the process of meaningful education reform. 4. How to recognize all stakeholders when developing a communication plan. 5. Measure reform initiative effectiveness.
