It’s not always easy to change your district conversation’s focus from compliance to innovation. But one of the first steps is making sense of the mosaic of state initiatives and requirements. OSPI can help. This session will help you use WSSDA standards to anchor your discussions and decisions. This can make sure everyone has clear expectations, support and tools when it is time to enact policies and design strategic plans.

Learner Outcomes:
1. Apply WSSDA Standards (#2, #3, #4) to anchor discussions and decisions around the mosaic of state initiatives and requirements. 2. Enact policies and design strategic plans and goals that ensure schools and staffs have clear expectations, support, and tools to effectively implement these initiatives and requirements that focus directly on boosting student achievement, particularly for underserved groups of students.
